What is an Equilibrated Denture?

Balanced Denture Design for Comfort and Function

An equilibrated denture is designed so the upper and lower dentures work together in harmony with your natural jaw movements. By carefully balancing the way the denture teeth contact during chewing, forces can be distributed more evenly to help improve stability and reduce unwanted rocking or tipping.

A balanced bite may also help reduce pressure on the supporting tissues and improve comfort while eating and speaking.

Why Does It Matter?

When dentures are designed with balanced occlusion in mind, they are better able to function throughout the natural chewing cycle rather than only when the teeth come together in one position.

At Saskatoon Denture Clinic, balanced occlusion is a standard part of our denture fabrication process. We believe careful planning, precise techniques, and patient involvement all contribute to creating dentures that provide comfort, function, and confidence.

We also believe every patient deserves the same commitment to quality. Our focus is on providing individualized care, patient education, and quality materials and techniques to help achieve the best possible outcome for your unique needs.
